The Race

Almost 2,800 women of all ages and abilities took part in the annual event to raise money for worthy local and national charitable causes. 

Participants at the start line of the Cook Medical Women’s Mini Marathon which took place at the University of Limerick.

The 10k race saw Michelle Finn finish in first place with a time of 35 minutes 2 seconds, followed by Lauren Dermody in second and Carol Finn in third. 

Now in its 20th year, it is firmly established as the leading women’s running event in Limerick and the Mid-West.

The run consists of two routes. The first route is 10km and the second is 5km. Both start on the grounds of the University of Limerick, by the UL Sports Arena. Race pack collection will commence from 11-2pm on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM from the UL Arena.

 

On race day, there will then be a warm up outside the arena to get the blood flowing ahead of your run. This will start at 11:20 am.

 

The 10km starts at 12 noon and the 5km starts at 12:30 pm.
